Halloween Certificates

by Chuck Smith on October 28, 2009

Halloween_TwoIt’s been quite some time since I posted to the My Parent Magic blog, and I wanted to apologize to everyone who has been on the list for a while.  Basically, I had a corporate job that took up all my time and I didn’t have the energy to keep up with this list.

I recently got laid off from my job, so I thought I would start My Parent Magic up again to keep myself busy and to also get some good experience that will translate to my next job.  I’m hoping to be able to do some writing and blogging for my next full-time job, and this is the perfect way to show what I can do.

But, since I’ve been gone so long, things have changed a bit.  Free seems to be the new buzzword, and from my perspective, I think it’s great.  So, over the coming months, I’m going to be sharing links to a lot of great free resources for parents out on the web, and also offering a lot of the letters and certificates I used to sell for free.

So in that vein, I’m offering all of my Halloween Certificates for you to download.  They are in Word format, but you can also bring them into OpenOffice (a free office suite available for download here) and edit the certificates for your special goblin or ghoul.

Make sure you’re signed up for the email list to get notifications of new freebies (I’ll be releasing some Christmas letters and certificates very soon!) and other great parenting fun resources.

And I’ll do my best to keep up with the site.  My plan is to make at least two or three posts a week, and I’ll try to make My Parent Magic you’re favorite place for parenting fun on the Internet.

Best regards,
Chuck

Thank you for providing this for free. I plan some of the activities in my neighborhood community and of course there is a very tiny budget, so purchasing anything is almost nil . Your certificates and information have been a terrific help and also are inspiring .
Thank you for bringing a lot of joy to a lot of families .

Thank you Shirley! I really appreciate the feedback, and if there’s anything that you need, let me know. I’m always looking to add new tools and fun to the site.

Best regards,
Chuck

Lovely to hear from you again, love your stuff. Sorry that you got laid off, but I look forward to more stuff on your site!

Glad you are back-happy to hear from you again….too bad about the layoff -sadly that’s the way the market is these days. I appreciate the certificates-I have 6 grandchildren-what a fun way to get them involved in things and have the fun of “winning” something!

Getting laid off wasn’t so bad. It was seeing the ad for my replacement a couple weeks later. They were hiring someone with a lot less experience. Oh well… guess I really need to try and figure out how to become a bit less dependent on corporations anyways! And thanks for the support.

Thank you Lyn! It must be a lot of fun with all those grandchildren, and I know you’ll like the Christmas certificates I’ll be putting up very soon. Thanks for the support!

Thanks Tracey! Glad you like the certificates, and I’ll be putting more up very soon. I’ll also be putting up links to some other great resources where you’ll be able to find some fun things for the kids (that don’t cost anything). Thanks for the support!

Chuck, you’re doing exactly what you need to do during your “time off” from fulltime work. I will pray for your success in this endeavor. Parenting skills — there is nothing more valuable to share with others.
I’m going to post a link to your blog on mine.
